Welcome crafters to A Cut Above's September challenge.

Thank you for all of the wonderful August entries!

This month's challenge is "Anything Goes" with a die cut as always, but with an added option should you choose to do it...Monchromatic.    Link up your project with at least one die cut defined in the rules under the GUIDELINES tab at the top of the blog.

 Remember, the Monochromatic is optional!

August 24 Anything Goes!

Welcome back to A Cut Above!

*Please note...use the LINKY TOOL at the very bottom of the post.  September will offer Linky Tool only.

Wow, July just flew by and it's time for the August challenge here at A Cut Above.  This month the theme is "Anything Goes With A Die Cut" with no additional option.  Projects must have at least one die cut on it.  See the guidelines for the definition of eligible die cuts HERE.

The debut challenge this past month was a great success.  I was thrilled with 38 entries  and hope it climbs even higher in the future.  Thanks to everyone that played along with A Cut Above's debut challenge.

August means that summer is winding down here on the east coast.  Schools are prepping their upcoming year calendars and posting supply lists.  It's also vacation and harvest time for many.  The big harvest here in our area this time of year is fruit.  Peaches are most popular in addition to plums and nectarines. For me, I'm looking forward to the fall season when temps are cooler and the air is brisk.

The inspiration for my card was peaches...

Have a peachy day!

Layers of goodness using die cuts for this jar of freshly canned peaches.

I'm pleased to introduce two guest designers again this month that are sharing their die cut inspiration with you, Birgit Norton and Alidalis Acevedo.  You can jump over to their blogs and leave them some love by clicking on their name anywhere in the post.

Birgit takes us seaside with this relaxing scene full of fun, beachy details...

Next up is this dimensional step card from Alidalis.  She is also sharing a You Tube video on the making of this project.

Join the fun, dig out those die cuts and start creating!  Add dimension and elements to your projects, share with us and you could be a winner.

Die cuts make everything better!

Challenge entry deadline is August 28, 2024, 8 PM Eastern Time with winner posted on August 30, 2024.

Celebrate!

Happy 4th of July to those that are celebrating today!

I'm still celebrating the debut launch of, "A Cut Above", my paper craft designs die cut challenge blog.  If you love using die cuts on your projects, I invite you to play along with the monthly challenges here at A Cut Above.  The challenge posts on the first Monday every month and ends on the 28th of the month.  A winner is chosen by random draw to receive a $5 gift certificate to A Cherry On Top Crafts and a badge to display in their blog.

Here's a card I made today in celebration of the upcoming Olympics in Paris, France.

Celebrate

The red, white and blue theme worked perfectly for this design since the flag of France is also red, white and blue.  I included an Eiffel Tower inside the shaker star as a tribute to the Paris Olympics beginning on July 26, 2024.

You have until the 28th of July to play along with the challenge theme, "Let's Start Off With A Bang".  Use the theme for inspiration and let your mojo take you wherever but be sure to use at least one die cut on your project.  Link up your entry in the challenge post HERE.  Looking forward to your creations!

Thanks for stopping by!
